Freedom of Information Policy

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides public access to information held by public authorities. As an Arm’s Length Body of the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation will be bound by the same obligations and has signed up to using the Information Commissioner’s Office model.

Provision of Information

The following table shows the information that the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation will make available and how, and where relevant, what charges will be made.

In summary fees will be charged for the following:

  • Photocopying and postage;
  • Fees permitted by other legislation; and
  • The provision of information produced commercially, i.e. a book, map or similar publication which would not otherwise have been produced.

All Freedom of Information requests must:

  • Be made in writing, either as a letter or email;
  • include the requester’s name, address for correspondence, postal or email; and
  • Describe the information requested.

Ebbsfleet Development Corporation will endeavour to respond to all valid requests for information in 20 working days, counting the first working day after the request is received as the first day.
