Ebbsfleet Garden City is to get its first primary school after permission was given tonight (Wednesday March 16) for a 420-pupil building.

The school – and a new community centre – will be built in Castle Hill, and will also provide 26 nursery places as well as 15 for special needs pupils.

It means the garden city will lead the way – and be held up as a role model – for being a healthy community that promotes good lifestyle choices.

Affordable homes approved for Ebbsfleet Garden City

Planning approval for 125 ‘affordable’ homes within the new Ebbsfleet Garden City has been given to a leading Kent social housing provider.

Circle Housing Russet will start construction work within Castle Hill, the first village at Ebbsfleet Garden City’s Eastern Quarry site, in the summer.

Firm appointed to draw up Garden City masterplan

Consultancy AECOM has been appointed to draw up a masterplan for the proposed Ebbsfleet garden city in Kent.

In the 2014 Budget, chancellor George Osborne said that a garden city with an initial 15,000 homes would be built at Ebbsfleet in Kent, delivered by an urban development corporation.
