The NHS has published a series of reports highlighting the work of the Ebbsleet Garden City’s Healthy New Towns project.

Putting Health Into Place highlights the work carried out here including highlighting the success of our Get Active app and Edible Ebbsfleet projects which are still running and now form part of Ebbsfleet Development Corporations work.

It  also highlights how members of the new community were invited to a ‘co-production day’ to help
create a plan for local health provision.

The key insight gained was that people wanted an emphasis on helping them stay well and independent, so this became a shared goal for action.

The Healthy New Towns programme was launched in 2015 to explore how the development of new places could provide an opportunity to create healthier and connected communities with integrated and high-quality services.

The programme worked with ten sites chosen in March 2016 from over 100 applicants and in which Ebbsfleet Garden City was the lead project.
