Christmas is coming and there will be plenty of ho ho ho in Ebbsfleet Garden City this year.

It all starts on December 18 and 19 between 11am and 5pm with festive stalls, crafts, mulled wine, gifts and live music by Dartford based Stephanie Lee School at the Castle Hill Christmas Fair.

This year’s fair also promises a Kids Talent Show which will take place between 1.30pm and 2pm

The Facebook page for the event can be found by searching for Castle Hill Christmas Fair and it is looking for budding young singers, musicians, dancers, comedians and magicians.

There will also be a Christmas Market running throughout the weekend in Castle Hill.

And on the Sunday there will be a Carols in the Community where four short pop-up carol services will be staged.

They will take place at Cherry Orchard by the tennis courts, Birch Green near Motte Lane, Lime Green by Park View and Ackers Drive near the Edible Ebbsfleet Boxes in Ebbsfleet Green.

You can get more information on this event by contacting Penny Marsh 07980 690937 Adam Laughton 07977 455275 or Bart Woodhouse 07792 596318.

On December 20 the Dartford Christmas fire engine will be visiting the Garden City and will be at the Castle Hill Community Centre at 1.30pm.

There will also be the chance to  put your ideas forward for the proposed Health and Wellbeing Hub which is planned to be delivered in Ebbsfleet Central at the Christmas Market, where our team will have stall there.

Kevin McGeough, Head of Strategy and Place Making with Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, which is helping with funding of the events through its Community Investment Fund, said: “We couldn’t think of a more magical way to celebrate Christmas than with a weekend of activities for friends, family and neighbours.
