To mark Clean Air Day on 17th June – the UK’s largest air pollution campaign – we are offering some boosted rewards to encourage residents of Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley to keep making active travel journeys.

Since the Year 4 Get Active in Ebbsfleet challenge began, participants have helped avoid over 16,000kgs of CO2 from being emitted by choosing to walk, run or cycle. We want these stellar efforts to continue, to reduce vehicle emissions in order to combat the damaging effects of air pollution on our health and environment.

Every year, air pollution causes up to 36,000 deaths in the UK.  The World Health Organisation and the UK Government recognise that air pollution is the largest environmental health risk we face today.

On Thursday 17th June, whether you are taking the children to school, commuting to work or making a trip to the shops, we are asking you to champion clean air for all by leaving the car at home and walking, running or cycling around your local area instead.

By doing so, you can get your hands on the following rewards:

Earn 100 BetterPoints for every walk, run or cycle journey of at least 10 minutes. You can receive this reward up to 4 times on the day.
