Local community projects have benefited by £50,000 from a special fund set up by the corporation behind Ebbsfleet Garden City.
Ebbsfleet Development Corporation set up the Community Investment Fund to support local groups who wanted to set up new or expand existing community activities in and around the Garden City.
So far some of the groups that have benefited include:

Support from the fund also helped Reverend Marsh purchase new running equipment for her Sunday Active Club in Castle Hill.
New boat for sea scouts Cambria Sea Scouts to promote used the funding to purchase a new vessel, named Worcester (after the training ship TS Worcester that used to be moored at Greenhithe) which was out on show on the day.
Football training sessions in Castle Hill Dartford Football Club’s Community Project was funded to deliver football training sessions on Castle Hill. The sessions were really successful with over 40 children attending to get active and play some football with qualified coaches.
