The first homes are taking shape at a new housing development in Ebbsfleet Garden City which has recently opened to the public.

Bellway is building 100 new homes at its Ebbsfleet Cross development, off Craylands Lane, on the site of a former quarry.

Alongside the development’s one and two-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom houses, the housebuilder is also creating new public open space and a protected wildlife habitat, which will contain trees and shrubbery as well as a small wildflower meadow.

Emma Hamlett, Sales Director for Bellway Thames Gateway, said: “This new development in Ebbsfleet Garden City will be revitalising an area that has been disused for years, and providing much-needed new housing for local people.

“Ebbsfleet Cross is in a fantastic location, with local amenities, schools and a train station all a few minutes’ walk from the development. The A2 and M25 are nearby, while Bluewater shopping centre is also a short distance away, and Ebbsfleet International has services into London in approximately 20 minutes.

“Now, with just a few plots remaining available to reserve, I’d recommend that people should visit the site as soon as possible to be able to take their pick of the plots currently available. By reserving early, they can also help ensure their home is finished to suit their personal tastes.”

Help to Buy enables eligible purchasers to buy a new-build home up to the value of £600,000 with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided in the form of a Government-backed equity loan which is interest free for the first five years.

The development’s plot of the month is Plot 45, The Riverhill, which is priced from £224,995.

There’s a selection of two and three-bedroom houses currently available to reserve at Ebbsfleet Cross, with prices starting from just £319,995, and one and two-bedroom apartments have recently been released, with prices starting from £224,995.
