EDC has undertaken extensive community engagement and consultation to help inform us of local need, priorities and ambitions for the Garden City. This work has told us that

  • People believe opportunities to engage with, and through creative activities is a good way to meet new friends
  • People want more and better opportunities to socialise -places to go and things to do
  • People would like to be more physically active
  • People want better access to healthy food options, and to have more opportunities to grow their own produce.
  • People want more and better opportunities to connect with nature and to relax in the Garden City
