Six months after the show home opened more than 60 homes have been sold at Ebbsfleet Green part of the flagship Ebbsfleet Garden City project.

To date 30 Abode style homes, 20 apartments plus 16 Heritage Collection properties have been sold. The vast majority of purchasers to date are young professionals, many of whom have used the Government-backed Help to Buy equity loan scheme to make the crucial first step onto the housing ladder.

More than a dozen homes are now occupied and Redrow is continuing to see strong interest in the remaining Abode properties. Would-be homeowners are also eagerly anticipating the launch of further phases including more of the Arts & Crafts influenced Heritage Collection properties and bespoke designed apartments at Ebbsfleet Plaza.

Rachael Baillie, Sales Director for Redrow Homes (South East), said: “It’s six months since we opened the Abode style show home at Ebbsfleet Green and it’s still very early days for the wider Ebbsfleet Garden City scheme. We’ve had a fantastic response from purchasers and have now sold more than 60 homes and welcomed more than a dozen homeowners.

“We’re continuing to be inundated with enquiries from people keen to be part of the new community that’s taking shape here. Weekends are particularly busy and we’d encourage potential purchasers to create a My Redrow account on the website where they will be able to make appointments with the sale team and explore the homes currently available.”

The Abode style homes now on sale include a choice of two-bedroom designs, including some set out over three floors to maximise the potential of the space available.

“We’ve opened an Abode 111 view home so that people can appreciate the layout,” said Rachael.

“Visitors are generally surprised by how spacious it is for a two-bedroom home. Almost all of the ground floor is open plan, with a combined kitchen, family, dining and study area. There’s a separate lounge on the first floor, where there’s also a bedroom with wetroom and dressing area on this level, with the other bedroom and en-suite on the top floor.”

Current prices at Ebbsfleet Green are from £227,995 for a one-bedroom apartment and £368,995 for a two-bedroom home.

The homes are available with the Government-backed Help to Buy equity loan scheme, which enables buyers the chance to secure a property with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The balance is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

“Help to Buy has made a massive difference to our customers at Ebbsfleet Green,” Rachael added.
