Springhead Park Primary School, a new primary school welcoming children from Nursery up to Year 4 to begin with, is due to open its doors in September 2020.
As the newest school to be part of The Primary First Trust, Springhead Park Primary School is highly anticipated in Ebbsfleet and surrounding areas. The local community is in need of more school places which offer a first-class primary education and, once launched, this new school will offer exceptional primary education to children across the area.
Senior leaders have made many exciting developments in recent weeks to ensure the school is ready to open in September this year.

The school recently had a successful pre-opening virtual Ofsted inspection, which is undertaken to ensure new schools are ready to open. The inspector was able to meet with Springhead Park’s leadership team through a virtual meeting and receive an online tour of the building.
The senior team have also been busy recruiting teachers, which has been a great success. Interviews were carried out online, and after a lengthy process they are very happy to have recruited five excellent teachers whose outlook on education matches Springhead Park’s ethos perfectly. Their combined wealth of experience will ensure that their new pupils receive an excellent education from day one. The new staff are very much looking forward to starting in September.
Finally, Kier, the building contractors, have also found ways to continue unhindered, even in spite of significant barriers, such as reduced workforce and supply chain issues caused by COVID-19. They have been very adaptable to ensure that the school will be ready to welcome pupils at the start of the new term.
Wayne Clayton, Headteacher of Springhead Park Primary School, said: “We are delighted the hard work and commitment of so many will come to fruition in September and are looking forward to welcoming all our new pupils. In particular, Kier, the construction company have been brilliant, we couldn’t praise them highly enough, they have been outstanding.
“Ofsted were also a pleasure to work with. They were very flexible, particularly in their reaction to the current pandemic. They carried out a thorough inspection of our plans and the school site, as they should, despite being unable to visit the school or meet face to face. We are very grateful to them for this, as it means that Springhead Park will now get a community school on time, as planned.”
